    Admissions Requirements

    Applicants from BC and Yukon high schools must satisfy the following minimum requirements for their application to be considered:
    • 1. Graduation from a provincial high school with a minimum grade average of 67% (based on English Studies 12 and three additional approved courses).   
    • 2. Completion of English Studies 12 or English First Peoples 12 with a minimum grade of 67% or fulfil the English Language Admission Standard.
    • 3. Completion of three additional Gr. 12 courses. View approved courses.

    Admissions Requirements

    Applicants from out of province schools must satisfy the following requirements:
    • 1. Graduation from high school with a minimum grade average of 67%, based on English 12 and three additional approved courses in the province.
    • 2. Completion of English Studies 12 in the province with a minimum grade of 67%, or fulfil the English Language Admission Standard.   
    • 3. Completion of three additional Gr. 12 courses comparable to the BC approved courses. View approved courses.

    Admissions Requirements

    Applicants from the United States of America must satisfy the following requirements:
    • 1. Graduation from an academic program equivalent to Canadian Grade 12. 
    • 2. Four years of English courses to the senior level. 
    • 3. Three years of mathematics courses to the junior level. 
    • 4. Three additional full-year senior-level academic subjects. 


    You are invited to submit your SAT or ACT scores to support your application (not required). 

    Students who have not successfully completed four years of English courses will be required to meet the English Language Admission Standard

  • Mature Students


    A student over the age of 19, whose formal education was interrupted and who did not meet the normal requirements for admission. However, this individual has demonstrated an intellectual maturity that permitted acceptance to the College.

    Admissions Requirements

    Applicants must fulfil the following:
    • 1. Be 19 years old at the start of the term that they are applying for admission.
    • 2. Have been out of school for at least a year prior to admission to Corpus Christi College.
    • 3. Provide their official high school transcripts for review.

    Students who are currently enrolled at another post-secondary institution (“home institution”) and want to take a class at the same time at Corpus Christi College.

    Admissions Requirements

    You must be in good standing at your home institution.

    Application Process

    1. Prepare your application document for submission.
    Transcripts – Submit transcripts from your current post-secondary institution. If you have completed less than 24 credits at a post-secondary institution, you are also required to submit a high school transcript.

    Provide an unofficial transcript to start, and an official transcript when it is available. Request official transcripts to be sent to Corpus Christi College by mail or email. Transcripts submitted by email from the Ministry of Education or post-secondary institutions must be sent to [email protected].

    2. Letter of Permission (LOP) – Submit an approved Letter of Permission from your home institution.

English Language Admission Standards


English is the primary language of instruction at Corpus Christi College. All prospective students are required to demonstrate a minimum level of English before they’re admitted. Applicants can demonstrate their English-language proficiency in one of the following ways:

1. Complete three or more consecutive years of full-time education in English within Canada immediately prior to attending Corpus Christi.

2. Provide proof of a minimum grade of 67% in either: BC English Studies 12, BC English First Peoples 12, or an equivalent Canadian provincial exam. 

3. Achieve a minimum grade of 4 on Advanced Placement (AP) English Language & Composition or Literature & Composition.

4. Completion of International Baccalaureate Diploma Program including English A (HL/SL) or English Literature and Performance (HL) with a final grade of 3 or better.

5. Achieve a minimum score of 450 on the GED Language Arts Writing & Reading.

6. International students have the following options:     
  • TOEFL Internet-Based Test: A minimum score of 75.
  • IELTS: A minimum overall band test score of 6.0 (academic module only).
  • PEARSON TEST OF ENGLISH(Academic): An minimum overall score of 55. 
 
7. A minimum overall and essay score of "55" on the Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL).    

8. Completion of a college-level writing or literature course that transfers to Corpus Christi College as a college-level English course.  

9. Completion of the Corpus Christi College English 099 course

How It Works

We offer 3 terms of study: Fall, Winter and Summer. You can start your studies in any term.

Year-round studies can give you more flexibility in your busy schedule. If you take classes during the summer – onsite or online – you have the option of taking fewer classes during the fall and winter, or accelerating your academic path.

Please see the sections above for detailed requirements depending on your academic status.  If you have any questions about these courses, please contact the Admissions Office.
  • Courses that fall under the BC Ministry of Education subject categories: Language Arts 12, Mathematics 12, Science, Second Languages 12, Social Studies 12 are used for Admission to Corpus Christi College.
  • English Language Arts, either English Studies 12 or English First Peoples 12 is required.
