Below is a sample of opportunities provided to scholarship recipients. Corpus Christi College will work with each scholarship recipient to develop an personalized program that fits their needs and aspirations.

Leadership

Inspirational leaders are not just born with the skills that make them exceptional, they benefited from training and opportunities to gain experience along their journey. The Circle of Fellows program will help Junior Fellows develop into tomorrow's exceptional leaders.

LEADERSHIP SEMINAR AND TRAINING (Certificate Program)

Junior Fellows receive hands-on leadership training in the Leadership Seminar (Year 1) and Executive Leadership Certificate (Year 2). Through accessing key resources and learning concrete leadership skills, Junior Fellows take an active role in developing a leadership activity of their choosing, all in a supportive environment.

THE FELLOWS SEMINAR SERIES

In seminars from well-known community leaders on topics of goal setting, personal development, and careers, Junior Fellows will be inspired and encouraged to reach their potential.

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Networking is about authentic engagement and relationship building with people and it takes time to hone skills and build a network. Junior Fellows benefit from training sessions and opportunities to practice networking skills so they can successfully nurture genuine and meaningful professional connections.

Experiential and Service Learning

Junior Fellows are guaranteed opportunities for internships and service learning. In consultation with our Service and Experiential Learning Advisors, Junior Fellows will plan and engage in service and experiential activities throughout the academic year, which will support their educational aspirations.

SUMMER SERVICE INTERNSHIP AND CO-OP PLACEMENT(S)

Take part in the 6-8 week paid experience over the summer with programming customized to each student's educational plans. By experiencing real-world, on-the-job environments, Junior Fellows develop themselves both on and off campus.

LOCAL, NATIONAL, AND INTERNATIONAL SERVICE PROJECTS (optional)

We care about the wider world and the Circle of Fellows programs seeks to engage students' hearts and minds in everything they do. Junior Fellows have meaningful opportunities to take courses on pressing social issues, travel on service learning trips and give back to the less fortunate through a multitude a volunteer organizations.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS

Through our Centre for Career Development, Junior Fellows will access a hub of skills development that will aid in their career pathways. Junior Fellows will build their personal profile, polish resumes and make new connections.

Mentorship

Mentors represent a network of 'thought leaders' from diverse backgrounds recognized for their contributions to their communities. Bringing experience, passion, and vision from their respective backgrounds, mentors will create possibilities for these Junior Fellows to make connections between classroom learning and real-life experiences.

ASSIGNED MENTOR

Mentors are assigned to Junior Fellows based on educational and career aspirations. By introducing Junior Fellows to new communities, providing advice and challenging them to act with courage, empathy and honesty, mentors will guide Junior Fellows to become future leaders committed to the highest goals of lifelong learning and making a difference.

DIRECT GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT FROM A NETWORK OF MENTORS AND FELLOWS

Beyond their assigned mentor, Junior Fellows will have access to a network of mentors and fellows that includes distinguished academics, respected experts and prominent industry leaders.

Junior Fellows who complete the 2-year Circle of Fellows program are eligible to continue with a unique tri-mentoring network which connects students with peers and dedicated industry leaders.
